This technology platform offers next generation of high energy and high-power density green energy storage devices. The key goal of this platform is to replace the conventional internal combustion engine through clean, efficient and low-cost power storage devices for automobiles.

One of the key hurdles to clean energy is energy storage. Rechargeable low cost, high energy and power density battery technologies are at forefront of energy storage debate. Our energy storage division is focused on commercialization of next generation of high energy and high-power density storage devices. We are developing clean, efficient and low-cost power storage devices for automobiles with focus to replace the conventional internal combustion engine. Our battery technology offers large specific energy capacity and portability. Through our experimental and computational material design research program we are developing novel materials with unique properties for energy storage such as:

  • Shorter diffusion length

  • Large energy capacity per mass or volume

Our novel rechargeable devices are targeting two major market segments

  • Next generation of batteries for consumer electronic devices such as laptops, cameras, and smart phones.
  • Batteries for plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEV).
